  23. I have noticed that there seems to be a free interchange of the words 
  24. "end-user" and customer. In my experience a lot of the problems come
  25. from the end-user not actually being the customer ie. the user is
  26. required to use the software by his/her employer etc.

  28. In this respect, for example, I have never been a customer of 
  29. Microsoft. I am an end-user but I am the customer of the PC
  30. vendor and/or a third party software distributor. Their
  31. requirements of Microsoft are certainly not the same as
  32. mine!
